REVIEW – Steely Dan tribute finds its groove

I attended the tribute to Steely Dan at the Center for the Arts and was amazed at the turnout.

There was a full house that came in out of the cold rain to catch an electrifying group that came to entice and entertain an audience taken with the music of Donald Fagen and Walter Becker.

The crowd of Steely Dan fans was not disappointed by what they heard and got caught up in the music of simpler years, a time when the youth of our country found answers in their music and sensibilities.

Objects in the Mirror succeeded in finding a groove that brought the crowd to its feet, clapping and cheering for the hometown group, which consists of Pat Jacobsen, Perry Mills, Mark McCartney, Kit Bailey and Bob Villwock.

It was remarkably interesting to this writer and several people I spoke to that Objects in the Mirror has provided a dream for many young musicians and helped them know that the ability to reach across all genres of music is possible.
