Three Nevada County firefighting agencies responded Wednesday afternoon to a structure fire on the 12700 block of Pasquale Road, outside Nevada City.

Nevada County Consolidated Fire, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and Rough and Ready, Nevada City and Grass Valley fire departments were responding to the scene, where a detached garage of a residence was reported to be on fire at 3:03 p.m., according to a representative from the Grass Valley Emergency Command Center.

During the blaze, the fire spread to a nearby structure, damaging the property’s primary residence, Command Center staff said.

As of 3:35 p.m., the fire’s status was changed to “contained” by responding personnel.
