Stephen Edwards’ altar, titled “Loves,” is on display at the Nevada County Fairgrounds’ Northern Mines Building during the fifth annual Altar Show through Sunday at the Nevada County Fairgrounds’ Northern Mines Building. Based on worldwide traditions of placing offerings in honor of the beloved dead, the show includes about 60 altars honoring individuals and causes. Viewing hours are from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Admission is free. The fairgrounds is at 11228 McCourtney Road, Grass Valley.
