Reno man seriously injured in Highway 49 wreck

A 45-year-old Reno man is in serious condition today with head injuries after crashing on Highway 49 just south of North San Juan Monday afternoon,

according to the CHP.

Peter Neves was driving south at approximately 1:45 p.m. when he drifted toward the right side, then overcorrected and his 2004 Honda Element overturned, said CHP Officer Dina Hernandez.

Neves received major head injuries, she said, and was transported by helicopter to Sutter Roseville Medical Center.

Alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the accident, Hernandez said.
