Unity church calls

to sleeping culture

Rev. Joe Sloan’s message this Sunday at Unity In The Gold Country will be “Call to a Sleeping Culture.” Guest soloist will be Patti Ann Da’Cunda.



Services are held at 10:30 a.m. at Esterly Hall (Board of Realtors Building, lower level) located at 336 Crown Point Circle in Grass Valley. Refreshments and fellowship follow. Youth church meets at the same time across the street in the Spiritual Learning Center at 333 Crown Point Circle, Suite 215.

Twin Cities speaker

targets relationships

Twin Cities Church will be continuing the message series, “Steps to a Fresh Start” this Sunday. Special guest speaker, Everett Shropshire will be delivering the message, “Repairing Relationships.”

The church is hosting Journey Cafe from 3:00-4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8. This will be an opportunity to learn more about the Twin Cities Church.

Immediately following there will be a class for anyone interested in becoming a part of the church. This class is over at 6:30pm. Both classes will be held at the Grass Valley Vet’s Hall. Call to reserve your space. Childcare is available by reservation.

Twin Cities meets every Sunday morning at the Veteran’s Hall in Grass Valley at 255 South Auburn Street. There are two services – 8:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. and children’s classes at both services. Junior high students meet at 8:45 and high school students meet at 10:45 a.m.

Sierra Center for

Positive Living

The topic of Rev. Sandra Fairbanks’ talk is “Advent of Hope.” It is the second in the series, “Tis the Season,” at the Sierra Center for Positive Living, a Religious Science church. This week is Prayer Partner Sunday.

It begins at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the Banner Grange Hall, 12629 McCourtney Road in Grass Valley.

Music this week is by vocalist Gracie MacKenzie The Ralph Williams Combo will lead the congregational music.

Junior Church and Tween/Teens meet during the service. After the service will be a Holiday Festival and refreshments.

The church office is in the Yuba River Professional Building, 12059 Nevada City Hwy, #210, Grass Valley, next to Lyons.
