Twin Cities Church

The last message in the current series, “Walking Wisely,” is this Sunday morning at Twin Cities Church. Special guest speaker, Greg Sumii, will be delivering the message “Coping With Change.”

The High School Student Ministry is beginning to prepare for their mission trip to Mexico, April 13-18. They will be building two houses for needy families. They will be having six training sessions that begin this month.



The Children’s Ministry staff at Twin Cities Church, along with some parents, will be attending the “Unshakable Faith Conference” in Elk Grove on Feb. 22. They will be learning how to help children develop an unshakable faith that will help them withstand the world’s pressures.

Twin Cities meets every Sunday morning at the Veterans Hall in Grass Valley at 255 South Auburn St. They offer two services – 8:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.

Truth Worship Center

Special services to present on where we are in prophesy will be at Truth Worship Center the Sunday 10 a.m. service. There will be special presentation covering the mark of the beast, one world government and Israel. Sunday School classes for the younger children are offered.

The Evening service begins at 6 p.m. with worship and praise to the Lord Jesus Christ. Truth Worship Center (UPCI) is a Pentecostal Church located at 1784 Ridge Road, across from Nevada Union High School. For more information, call 272-6455. 

Foothill Community Church

The Royal Rangers at Foothill Community Church are hosting their annual Pinewood Derby.

If you have never participated in or attended a Pinewood Derby, you are in for a treat. The participants construct and customize their miniature cars to be the fastest one on the track. They may be small, but they are creative and they can be outrageous. Even if you do not want to build a car to race, come and cheer for your favorite car.

The event begins at 1:30 p.m., March 2, at Foothill Community Church located at 14600 Highway 49 in Grass Valley (next to the fire station). Registration and race rules and information are available at the church office, please call 272-8511. Royal Rangers is a Christian Scouting Program for boys, kindergarten to eighth grades.

Word-a-Live! Family Church

We at Word-a-Live! Family Church meet on Sunday mornings for our 10 a.m. service and again for evening service at 6 p.m. This Sunday at the morning service Pastor Chipchase will continue to minister on “This is Your Year of Miracles.”

At the evening service, the first in a series of classes (to be continued on the last Sunday of each month), Pastor Chipchase will be teaching from Dr. John C. Maxwell’s book, “Learning the ’17’ Essential Qualities of a Team

Player.”

“WOW” (Women of the Word) are beginning their new Bible Study: “Healing for the Angry Heart” every Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. All women are invited to attend.

“Kidz Zone” meets at 7 p.m. three Wednesdays a month for hula-hoop and pogo stick contests, Bible memory verse and study, food and fun. All kids in the community are welcome to attend. Please call the church office for information at 432-9155.

“Equippers’ Class” meets three Wednesdays a month at 7 p.m. February and March’s subject: “Getting out of Ruts.”

Sunday Services: 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Word-a-Live! Family Church is a non-denominational Christian Church with emphasis on equipping the Saints for the work of the Ministry.
