Conflict resolution talk at

Unitarian Church

At 11 a.m. Sunday at the Unitarian Universalist Community of the Mountains in Grass Valley, Doug McDougall will talk about ways to deal with issues when people’s views appear incompatible.



Doug is a member of the Unitarian Universalist Community Church in Sacramento, a Sacramento community mediator and member of the Pacific Central District Conflict Management Team.

A potluck luncheon follows the service.




Ministry Faire at

Twin Cities Church

Twin Cities Church is having a Ministry Faire this Sunday. Pastor Ron Thompson’s message will be “Get In The Game.” The message will inspire and encourage people to get involved in ministry.

There will be brief descriptions of many different areas of ministries, as well as explanations of how people can get involved at Twin Cities Church. A two-session class on Money Management will begin Sunday, Jan. 26.

The second class will be Feb. 2. Both classes will be held during the first church service downstairs at the Grass Valley Veterans Hall.

Twin Cities meets every Sunday morning at the Veterans Hall in Grass Valley at 255 South Auburn Street. There are two services – 8:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.

There are children’s classes at both services. Junior high students meet at 8:45 and high school students meet at 10:45 a.m.

New Age concert at

Unity church

This Sunday at Unity In The Gold Country Church, Pam Smithson, LUT will present the lesson “Manifesting the Christ.” Anron Mizerak, New Age recording artist, will be guest musician.

Services are held at 10:30 a.m. at Esterly Hall (Board of Realtors Building, lower level) located at 336 Crown Point Circle in Grass Valley. Child-care is available. Fellowship and refreshments follow.

Youth church meets at the same time, across the street in the Spiritual Learning Center at 333 Crown Point Circle, Suite 215.

Following the service on Jan. 26, from 12:30-2:30 p.m., Anton Mizerak and Manose, Himalayan flautist will give a concert. Other music to be included is classical Indian raga, Nepali folk music and group sing-alongs.
