Sierra Pines United Methodist

Pastor Don’s sermon for the Second Sunday of Lent is “The Prodigal Life.” As humans, we seem bound in a prodigal life – one of constant departures and returns. Perhaps our wandering makes the very space that God uses for grace to enter.

The contemporary celebration service begins at 9 a.m., and the traditional service is at 10:30 a.m. At the 9 a.m. service Sunday School Classes are available for all ages, and an adult class is available at the 10:30 a.m. service.

A new Gospel of Luke study session starts this coming week. Led by Pastor Don, the Bible study is called “Luke’s Vision of Salvation.” Wednesday classes begin at 6:30 p.m. and Friday classes start March 5 at 9:30 a.m. The only book needed for this class is a Bible.

Mike and Charlotte Turner, gospel and bluegrass musicians, will present a concert on Friday, March 19 at 7 p.m. at Sierra Pines. The performance will have a family focus, and children will have a fun time singing songs along with the Turners. If you like Gospel and Bluegrass music this is one concert you will not want to miss.
