Thirty days of renewal will be the theme for the next 30 days at Truth Worship Center located at 1784 Ridge Road (across from Nevada Union High School). The 30 days of renewal will be to put “God first” is everything we do. It will include everything we do for this time period.

“What we need today is Jesus ” will be the topic of Sunday’s message at 10 a.m. Sunday School for all ages is available.

Sunday evening service will begin at 6 p.m. This will include special worship songs and anointed preaching.

Friday at 7:30 p.m. is the youth service, ministry of the word of God, refreshments and games will be offered.

Saturday is the annual trip to Apple Hill.

Saturday at 6 p.m. is the Spanish service.

Tuesday at 7 p.m. is the weekly Bible study.

Wednesday is Ladies Bible study and prayer beginning at 10 a.m.

Catholic Church of St. Stephen the First Martyr

Sunday is the 23rd Sunday after Pentecost. Christian Science Church

“Mortals and Immortals” is the subject for this week’s Bible lesson sermon to be read at the 10 a.m. service. The Golden Text is from Pslams; “Bless the Lord, O my soul : and all that is within me, bless his holy name … Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with loving kindness and tender mercies;” Sunday School meets at the same time for young people up to the age of 20.

On Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., testimonies of gratitude are spontaneously given for growth and healing through prayer.

Mountain Stream Meditation Center

Mountain Stream Meditation Center, a Buddhist Insight Meditation group, meets Mondays from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Wild Mountain Yoga, 574 Searls Ave. in Nevada City. On Monday John Travis, guiding teacher of Mountain Stream, will give a dharma talk on “Compassion” after a 45 minute silent meditation. All levels of practice are welcome.

Sierra Center for Positive Living

Sierra Center for Positive Living, a Science of Mind church – A New Way to Think, A Better Way to Live. This Sunday, the Rev. Sandra Fairbanks will talk about, “Being Creatively Alive & How to Get Unstuck.” The theme for November is “The Art of Spiritual Living.” Adult and Youth services start at 10:30 a.m. at the Banner Grange Hall, 12629 McCourtney Road in Grass Valley. Unity of the Gold Country

Join us this Sunday at our 10:30 a.m. service, when Rev. Joe Sloan will be speaking on “The Law of Compensation.” Music for the service will be provided by singer Patty Anne Da’Cunha and pianist Bill Garwood. Men’s Group and Women’s Sacred Circle both meet at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays, and The Course in Miracles group meets on Thursdays at 7 p.m. Our Youth Ministry provides Sunday school classes for children of all ages. Good News Project

The Good News Project offers prayer for healing every Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Sierra Vista Covenant Church office at 10064 Streeter Road, Unit 5. Streeter Road is located 1/4 mile South of the Highway 49 and Combie Road intersection. Follow the sign to the rear of the building, where our offices are located.

Trinity Church

This month’s Prayer, Praise and Healing Service will by on Saturday at 7 p.m. Our speaker will be Dr. Scott Kellerman, who will share with us how his faith has inspired his medical work. Scott and his wife, Carol, are well known in our community for their wonderful healing ministry among the Batwa in Uganda. It is a privilege to hear their stories of hope and healing.

Stan Thomas Rose will be leading our praise music, and there will be the opportunity for individual healing prayer. Come and join us for an uplifting evening. Everyone is welcome.

The Healing Rooms of Nevada County are open. We pray for the healing for the body, soul and spirit. Everyone is welcome whether they attend church or not.
