North San Juan

United Methodist

On Sunday at 8:30 a.m., the North San Juan United Methodist Church will celebrate Holy Communion. Dr. Judson O. Gears, pastor, will be preaching on “In the name of Jesus.” On Tuesday at 10 a.m., there will be a Bible study at the church. The community is invited.



Good News Project

Pray Nevada County Ð Seeking God on behalf of our communities. Open to all Christians. Pray Nevada County meets each Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m. to pray for our county governments and services, schools and families, businesses and media, and churches and parachurch ministries. Since August 1997, 15-25 people from 8-12 congregations have met each week to pray for our communities.




May meetings will be held at Hedman’s Furniture in downtown Grass Valley. We will meet in an office on the Mill Street level. For more information call the scheduling secretary at 432-0458 or Sierra Ministries International at 478-1478.

Truth Worship Center

A special Spanish service will be held on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. at Truth Worship Center. Evangelist Rev Limones will be ministering in Spanish. He is a well known preacher and ministers on the radio weekly.

Sunday morning the message title will be “Don’t stray from the foot of the cross.” Sunday School is offered for all children and young people. Evening service will be at 6 p.m.

This Friday at 7 p.m. will be the bimonthly youth service, refreshments will be served after the service.

Tuesday at 7 p.m. is the weekly Bible study.

Auburn Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

The Auburn Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will hold the semi-annual Conference May 7 at the Stake Center at 1255 Bell Road in Auburn. The conference will also be broadcast via satellite from the Auburn Stake Center to the Nevada City Building at 615 Hollow Way, Nevada City. People are encouraged to carpool.

The Conference will be under the guidance of the Auburn Stake President Rod Brower. On Saturday an adult evening session will be held at 5 p.m. On Sunday the Conference will begin at 10 a.m. The theme of the Conference will be: “Becoming a More Righteous Saint in an ever increasing Sinful World”.

Accompanied by Linda De Martini, a womens’s group will sing prelude music: “Dearest Children God is Near You,” “How Gentle gods Commands,” “The Lord is My Shepherd” and “Love At Home.” Visitors are welcome.

Sierra City Community Church (United Methodist)

On Sunday at noon, the Sierra City Community Church (United Methodist) will celebrate Holy Communion. Dr. Judson O. Gears, pastor, will be preaching on “In the name of Jesus.” A church potluck will follow the service. The community is invited.

Unity in theGold Country

Join us this Sunday at our 10:30 a.m. service when the Rev Joe Sloan will give the lesson titled “Easter Every Day,” with music for the service being provided by Patty Anne Da’Cunha. Our Men’s Group and Women’s Group both meet at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays and The Course in Miracles Group is held on Thursdays at 7 p.m. Our vibrant and ever growing Youth Ministry provides Sunday school classes for children of all ages. Twin Cities Church

This Sunday’s message will be “Lost and Angry.” We hope that you will join us during this series as we learn how to move from the place of feeling lost or stuck to a better place.

Twin Cities Church meets every Sunday morning at 8:15, 10, and 11:45 at 11726 Rough and Ready Highway. Children (birth through fifth grade) meet during every Sunday morning service. Junior high students meet at 10 a.m. and senior high students meet at 11:45 a.m. in the East Multi Purpose Room.

Word-A-Live

Word-A-Live Church’s location is 10528 Spenceville Road, Penn Valley. Special Guest Evangelist Joan Pearce will be there this weekend. Joan ministers Miracle Services, Revivals and citywide crusades. She will be conducting a Healing and Miracle Service Friday at 7 p.m., and Saturday (May 6) is the “School of Evangelism” at 10 a.m. Joan will also be ministering Sunday Services (May 7) at both 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Please come if you are desiring a touch from God.
