The Healing Rooms of Nevada County are open. We pray for healing for the body, soul and spirit. Everyone is welcome, whether they attend church or not. The Healing Rooms of Nevada County meet at the Outpatient Center Conference Rooms at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital, from 7 to 9 p.m. There is no fee and no reservation is necessary. Good News Project

The location for prayer for healing moved to the offices of Sierra Vista Covenant Church at 10064 Streeter Road, Unit 5. Streeter Road is located 1/4 mile south of Highway 49 and Combie Road. Follow the signs to the rear of the building, where offices are located. We pray for the unchurched as well as those who attend church. There is no fee and no appointment is necessary. Christian Science Church

“Reality” is this week’s subject for the lesson sermon to be read aloud at the 10 a.m. service on Sunday. The Golden Text is from Revelation: “Great and marvelous are thy works, Lord God Almighty.” Mary Baker Eddy writes in her textbook, “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures”: All things are created spiritually. Mind, not matter, is the creator. Love, the divine Principle, is the Father and Mother of the universe, including man.”

Anyone interested in spiritual healing is invited to attend the Wednesday evening meeting at 7:30 where those testify firsthand of the healing efficacy through their study and application. The church is located at 375 Crown Point Circle. For more information, call 273-9462.

Grass Valley First Baptist Church

Our choirs, orchestra and drama will present the powerful “Living Last Supper” four times from April 7-9. This year’s rendition of Jesus’ Passion is from the perspective of Bartimaeus. Now an old man, Bartimaeus shares with his grandson about the days of walking with Jesus. Da Vinci’s famous painting, “The Last Supper” will come to life, as will several other classic pieces of art. One-hundred-fifty participants will take part in the music, drama and behind-the- scenes production. Performances will be at 7 p.m. on April 7, 2 p.m. on April 8, and 7 p.m. on April 9.

Worship Services begin at 10:30 every Sunday morning. Guest Pastor David Hagey will be the speaker. Music is a strong part of our worship with traditional hymns blended with praise songs, orchestra, organ, and a worship choir. Linda O’Kay is the accompanist. Fran Kerr plays the organ, and Mary Sutter plays the keyboard.

Sierra City Community Church (United Methodist)

On Sunday the Sierra City Community Church (United Methodist) worship service is at noon. Dr. Judson O. Gears, pastor, will preach on “The Uplifted Christ.” The community is invited.

North San Juan United Methodist

On Sunday the North San Juan United Methodist Church worship service is at 8:30 a.m. Dr. Judson O. Gears, pastor, will preach on “The Uplifted Christ.” On Tuesday at 10 a.m. there is a Bible study at the Church. The community is invited.

Solid Rock Christian Fellowship

We are pleased to welcome you to Solid Rock Christian Fellowship, where our goal is to study God’s Word and strive to build stronger families and relationships with God.

Worship service begins at 11 a.m. with uplifting praise and worship music led by Senior Pastor Jim Edwards. Pastor Jim will continue teaching from the series Kingdom Of God. At 11:15 a.m. our Youth church (junior high and high school ages) starts. Children’s church and nursery care will be provided.

Our midweek Adult Bible Study is on Wednesday at 7 p.m. We challenge Christians to live victoriously, grow spiritually, and to know God intimately through the daily reading and study of His word.

Inner State Youth Ministries meet Fridays from 6 to 9 p.m. Greg Redman will be our guest speaker this week. We welcome all youth in Nevada County, junior high and high school age, to worship God, fellowship and hear God’s word from Pastor’s Greg and Liz Vesely. They also enjoy activities like basketball, bounce house, jousting, video games, skateboarding and paint ball.
