Mountain Stream Meditation Center, a Buddhist Insight meditation group, meets Monday evenings from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Wild Mountain Yoga, 574 Searls Ave. in Nevada City. New Beginnings Community Christian Fellowship

At New Beginnings we desire to share the Gospel and love of Jesus Christ, the risen Son of God, with our neighbors in our community and abroad. We offer Christ-like loving and relational environments in which we can disciple the love of Christ to one another in order to become more active and effective members of our families, community and the body of Jesus Christ.

Sunday morning service, corporately worshiping in song, music and the teaching of God’s word, begins at 10 a.m. Children’s church is also at 10 a.m. Small groups (Women’s and Men’s Bible studies and Home Fellowships) meet mid-week for more intimate fellowship and diving deeper into God’s word.

Pray Nevada County

Pray Nevada County Ð Seeking God on behalf of our communities. Open to all Christians. Pray Nevada County meets each Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m. to pray for our county governments and services, schools and families, businesses and media, and churches and parachurch ministries. Since August 1997, 15-25 people from 8-12 congregations have met each week to pray for our communities.

Penn Valley Community Church

The Lord’s Day Worship begins at 10 a.m. every Sunday at Penn Valley Community Church with Pastor Tom Gregoire. Sunday School for all ages from nursery to adult study is at 9 a.m. Children are excused for Kidz Church during the 10 a.m. service. Music is led by the Worship Team. Sierra Center for Positive Living

At the Sierra Center for Positive Living our mission statement is: Inspiring People to Live Spiritually Awakened Lives. The theme for February is, “Beyond Courage.” The message presented this Sunday by the Rev. Sandra Fairbanks is on “Integrity,” about bringing our thoughts, words and deeds into alignment with the indwelling Presence. The book by Alan H. Cohen, “Why Your Life Sucks: And What You Can Do About It,” has been an inspiration for the current series of talks by the Rev. Sandra. The service starts at 10:30 a.m. at the Banner Grange Hall, 12629 McCourtney Road in Grass Valley.

Unity in the Gold Country

February plans to be an exciting month at Unity in the Gold Country. Each Sunday we will explore as aspect of healing in our lessons, starting this Sunday at 10:30 a.m. when the Rev. Joe Sloan will speak on “The Power to Heal” which is a key spiritual principle of Unity.

Music for that service will be provided by Patty Anne Da’Cunha and will enhance the theme of healing. The month long focus on healing culminates with a special healing ceremony on Feb. 26, at the 10:30 a.m. service.

On Feb. 12, in anticipation of Valentine’s Day, we will have a special renewal of commitment ceremony for all of our partnered congregants.
