Reading a tribute to slain woman

Rachel Corrie is the young American woman who was tragically run over and killed by an Israeli bulldozer while protesting the demolition of a Palestinian home in 2003. A multimedia, one-woman dramatic reading of Corrie’s personal e-mails, called “Rachel’s Voice,” is a tribute presented by the Nevada Shakespeare Company on Friday, Oct. 5, 7:30 p.m., at Nevada City United Methodist Church, 433 Broad St., Nevada City. Also on the program is a film titled “The Right to a Home and a Homeland.” The event is free, although donations are welcome to help offset expenses incurred by the five organizations arranging this.
