Re: Traditionalists best this nation offered

Well, Mr. Ackerman, you’ve done it again. You’ve sent me to the computer with my blood pressure about 20 points above normal.

I am 55, and most everyone I know around my age is still working, and has been since we were kids. We’ve delivered newspapers, picked fruit, mowed lawns, gone to school, worked our way up the ladder, gotten married, raised kids, paid rent, bought our first house, sent kids to college and basically worked hard most of our lives. And guess what? We did it all on our own.

As kids, our parents took good care of us, but there’s never been the fat inheritance you claim we are squandering. Are you thinking of Generation X, born between 1962 and 1976 maybe? Regardless, you are off the mark.

I can appreciate writing something nice about Mr. Landis, who sounds like a great guy, and I happen to agree with you that our parent’s generation was the greatest ever. But, I disagree with needlessly slamming the entire Boomer generation just to make your point.
