Re: Overregulation in Truckee

It has come to my attention that our unconditional support for “smart growth” and “green growth” has set the stage for the elimination of Truckee’s working middle class families. The overregulation in Truckee has reached the point that many working people cannot afford a permit application to do their jobs anymore.

I can understand the support for all the new laws if you do not like your working neighbors; it sure makes it easy to harass them until they leave.

But I think most soccer moms are pretty much unaware of the middle class purging effects of the overregulation they helped install here.

Don’t take my word on this. Go down and talk to your neighbors coming out of planning and code enforcement at town hall.

They are being slammed to the wall with the same regulation and fees as billionaire developers? This is not fair. Where’s the love? It’s not too late to deregulate, Truckee.
