Re: Keene’s endorsement

Read it again. “Many (doesn’t name one) Republican leaders have relayed to me (not first-hand information) that Sue Horne hasn’t fared well under such (he doesn’t name any) circumstances.”

This is from a man who nominated her to be Woman of the Year – now he turns and relies on who knows what information from who knows whom.

I have first-hand observed Sue Horne stand up for tax payers as a rookie when the board was wasting $30,000 on a retreat out of the county. I’ve seen her take a stand and actually do something for unborn children without a voice when there have been decades of opposition. I have seen her take it on the chin from both sides for taking stances in public service that are consistent with her conservative convictions. I have seen her actually reading proposals before the board and not just kicking back.

She has served us not just on the board, but as a leader in the rural counties, and as founder of Blue Star Mothers. She is a leader who stands her ground and has fared well under many circumstances, including I suspect this second hand gossip by Mr. Keene.
