Re: Apprenticeship

Today, I called to book an appointment at the hairdresser. The phone was answered by a young girl. She handled herself professionally and without hesitation. I did not ask to speak to someone else. This child is getting experience and will have the self confidence she’ll need in the future. What has happened in this country where (to my knowledge) young people are not as a general rule given this opportunity? My opinion is to get these young people off of the couch and let them learn some life skills in a safe, nurturing environment. Bring back “Apprenticeship” and we will all benefit.
