Raymond Puhl Jr.

A gathering of friends and family of Raymond John Puhl Jr. of Grass Valley will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 31, at 14217 Greenhorn Road in Grass Valley.

Mr. Puhl died Monday, July 19, in Grass Valley. He was 54.

He was born Sept. 6, 1949, in Chicago, Ill., to Raymond John and Suzanne Puhl. He served in the U.S. Army for two years during the Vietnam War. He attended Pasadena City College. He worked for the U.S. Forest Service for 29 years. He enjoyed cycling, cross-country skiing, the forest, and family time with his son.



He is survived by his son, Joshua Idler of Grass Valley; sister and brother-in-law, Georgette and Larry Larsen of Anaheim; and caregiver, Geri Campbell of Grass Valley.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Foothills and flowers may be sent to 394 Clark St. in Grass Valley.




Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
