Raymond Miller

Graveside services for Raymond Dwain “Butch” Miller of West Fork, Ark., were conducted April 8 at McDonald Cemetery in West Fork.

Mr. Miller died Thursday, April 4, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Ark. He was 59.

He was born Dec. 21, 1942, in Nevada City to Raymond and Opal (Smith) Miller, and was a former resident of Grass Valley. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

He was an assistant fire chief for the Strickler Fire Department in West Fork and served on its board of directors.

He is survived by his wife, Tina Miller of West Fork; son Larry Miller of West Fork; daughter Carrie Montgomery of West Fork; brothers Jim Miller of Nevada City and Donald Miller of Auburn; sisters Sherry Bean of Oregon, Ramona Swaney-Simmons of Rio Linda and Mary Lira of California; granddaughter Jessica Miller; and step-grandson Forrest Montgomery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Strickler Volunteer Fire Department, 18510 Strickler WC 217, West Fork, Ark. 72774.
