Raymond Crow Sr.

Memorial services for Raymond Wiles Crow Sr. of Grass Valley will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church, 1866 Ridge Road in Grass Valley.

Mr. Crow died Thursday, Jan. 2, in Grass Valley. He was 86.

He was born on Aug. 20, 1916, in La Verne, to Arthur and Emily Crow. He served in the U.S. Army Cavalry from 1940-1943. He married Alice on July 19, 1943, in Denver. He was self-employed as a rancher and in real estate. He enjoyed painting, pottery, and various other art forms. He was a volunteer in the Retirees Office at Beale Air Force Base for 12 years.



He is survived by his wife, Alice B. Crow of Grass Valley; daughters and sons-in-law Linda and John Moran of Redwood City and Jeanne and Bob Huebert of Woodland Hills; son and daughter-in-law Ray Crow Jr. and Karen Crow of Arlington, Va.; son Steven Crow of Grass Valley; sisters Bernice Baldock of Irvine and Pauline Mayfield of Windsor; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Leonard Crow; sister, Eileen Baugh; and grandson Joseph Huebert.




Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Choir or the church building fund.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
