Puppy dies, Nevada analyst arrested for DUI

CARSON CITY ” A Carson City psychologist has been arrested on drunken driving charges after she drove into parked cars and a street lamp, killing the puppy she held in her lap.

Sheri Skidmore, 53, was arrested after the Monday afternoon accident at West Nye Lane ” a dead end street in Carson City.

Sheriff’s deputies say Skidmore’s Land Rover torn through two front yards, tearing up a 12-foot piece of chain link railing that became impaled in its windshield.

Deputies say at the time of the accident, Skidmore was holding her 5-month-old cocker spaniel in her lap. The puppy was killed from the force of the air bag.
