Public works should keep up the good work

Imagine my surprise, shock, and delight when arriving at my home street in Alta Sierra Friday, Jan. 29, I realized that the county had actually run the street sweeper on my road.

This stunning event did a stellar job of removing the messy covering of pine needles that had thickly covered the asphalt during the recent high winds.

I hereby offer all due kudos to the Public Works Department for this effort; for the second time in 30 years I can actually see the asphalt road during winter. The last time I was able to say this was around 1984. As pleased as all residents are with our clean road, a bit more frequency of this treat would be even better.
