Public invited to give input on Sierra College renovations

Sierra College, Nevada County Campus, will host two community meetings in the coming weeks to unveil the final designs of the facility improvements and on-campus renovations that will start next year. The meetings have been scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 28 and 6-8 p.m. on Nov. 1.

The meetings have been planned to solicit input from the community on the designs. Money from the first issue of the Measure G Bond totaling $18 million will be used to build a Health and Wellness Center, Performing Arts Center, new classrooms and renovations to other campus facilities.

The firm of NTDStichler Architecture has been actively collaborating with multiple advisory committees and task forces since 2004 to develop an architectural style and site plan that addresses future needs, incorporates local traditions, and enhances community character.

Both meetings will convene in Room L101 on campus. For more information, contact Joy Pelton at 916-781-7165. To RSVP, contact Ginger Dial or Maggie Green at at 274-5301.Sierra College, Nevada County Campus, will host two community meetings in the coming weeks to unveil the final designs of the facility improvements and on-campus renovations that will start next year.
