Proposing ideas

We all know what the problems are. So, I challenge The Union’s readers to submit letters with solutions for our local, national and international problems.

Here is my idea. People should be paid to haul off “sludge cake” from sewage treatment plants. This fertilizer is not fit to use on crops meant for human consumption, but it could be used to grow corn that is processed into fuel (alcohol). This fuel could be used to run an efficient KV motor (a simple six-cycle motor with four moving parts). One could also percolate the exhaust, purge and evaporate the liquid, compress and heat the leftover carbon and make diamonds. Problems solved. Dispose of treated sewage, put farmers to work, eliminate our need for oil (foreign or domestic), get rid of 21 percent fuel efficient V-8 motors and replace them with KV motors, reduce CO2 emissions dramatically and provide inexpensive diamonds so that no one buys “conflict diamonds.”

I look forward to reading your ideas.
