‘Praise in the Mountains’ holds $1,000 grand prize

“Praise in the Mountains” is not only Northern California’s largest free Christian Gospel concert, it’s also an event at which one has the opportunity to win prizes, $1,000 being the grand one.

Seven groups will perform Saturday at Western Gateway Park on Penn Valley Drive in Penn Valley, from noon to 8 p.m.

This is the 17th year of this family-friendly event that has things for the children to do.

7 p.m. Lou Ann Lee, contemporary

All day: Olde Tyme Religion Singers, Monkey Commando and Cowboy Gary
