Poem: Big

When my numbers come in

I’m buying the big house,

with the big room,

with the big wall,

where I’m hanging

the big picture

of Marilyn,

the one with her

standing on the grate,

holding her skirt

down,

laughing,

smilingÐ

I’m going to send out

postcards

to all my friends,

tell them,

“I know what love is.”

No return address,

just a picture of you

and me

standing in front of

Marilyn,

the three of us,

laughing,

smiling Ð

big!
