Play brings Potter’s characters to charming life

This full-length musical is based on the life and stories of Beatrix Potter, the creator of Peter Rabbit, and is a musical version of Joseph Robinette’s play.

In it, Beatrix’s best friend, Annie Moore, looks back on the life, times and stories of perhaps the most famous of all children’s authors. Of course, it’s the stories within Beatrix’s own story that charm and delight the younger audiences. From Peter Rabbit to Jemima Puddle-Duck, the seven enacted tales feature solos, duets, trios and chorus numbers that melodically thread their way through this romp into the world of a special group of animals that has captivated readers for over a century.

This production features 39 of The Nevada County Performing Arts Guild’s most talented young performers. Five older performers play the adult roles. Direction is by Paulette Rudolph, choreography by Mila Johansen and musical direction by Beverly Marks.
