Pitch in to help theater

As president of the board of Music in the Mountains, I’ve had the opportunity to lead a discussion with our executive committee and many of our staff and board members about support for the arts in and among our foothill communities. We are truly grateful to the countless donors who have supported all of the arts.

We are saddened to learn of the struggles of the Foothill Theatre Company, and hope that they are able to solve their current fiscal problems. They are a significant part of the arts culture of our community, and it would be a tremendous benefit to all of us if a way could be found to continue their 32 years of great performances.

The leaders and citizens who have gone before us have created a wonderful legacy of the arts. Life in our western Nevada County communities is truly enriched by the high quality of our performing and fine arts. Many people, in fact, have moved to western Nevada County because of this rich heritage.

We are all dedicated to continue, and in fact, to enhance this culture, for the benefit of our children, and others who join our community in the future. Please join with me, and all of us at Music in the Mountains, in keeping the arts alive and thriving. Let’s pitch in and see that Foothill Theatre continues to play its vital role. Thank you for your support of the arts.
