Pianos feature ragtime

In conjunction with the Nevada City 2004 Jazz and R&B Fest, the Mother Lode Ragtime Society and the Nevada City Odd Fellows will present Nan Bostick and Tom Brier this Saturday in “A Two Piano Ragtime Romp.”

Both pianist-composers have appeared in the West Coast and Sutter Creek Ragtime Festivals and the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee.

Saturday’s special guests will be flautist Julia Riley and The Chord Miners Barbershop Quartet.

Showtime is 2 p.m. at the Odd Fellows Hall on 212 Spring St. Doors open 1:30 p.m.
