Peter Mullen

Services for Peter P. Mullen of Grass Valley will be conducted at 12:15 p.m. Friday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Shenandoah, Pa. Burial will be at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Shenandoah.

Mr. Mullen died Thursday, April 18, in Grass Valley. He was 69.



He was born March 24, 1933, in Pennsylvania to Peter and Sophia (Klanavage) Mullen. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956. He graduated from high school and attended Temple University. He married Darolene on Sept. 18, 1976, in Chatsworth.




He retired after 25 years with Rockwell International as a design engineer.

He was a member of the Nevada City Elks Lodge No. 518.

He enjoyed traveling in a motor home, fishing, hunting and skiing.

He is survived by his wife, Darolene C. Mullen of Grass Valley; sisters and brothers-in-law Jean and Otto Bender of Palm Harbor, Fla., Terry and Jim Hall of Grass Valley and Eleanor and John Leyrer of Cherry Hill, N.J.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1940 and mother in 1988.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
