Penn Valley vocalists perform on behalf of Alzheimer’s project

Listen to jazz, classical, pop and Broadway by vocalists Wayne Powers and Noreen Barnett of Penn Valley, with guest vocalist Lydia Noland of Sacramento, while contributing to a good cause – a portion of the evening’s proceeds will go to the Alzheimer’s Outreach Project of Nevada County.

Also on the bill is the Denny Russell Band, which plays original country rock.

Called “Unforgettable,” this evening takes place Friday at the Miners Foundry Cultural Center at 325 Spring St., Nevada City. The no-host bar opens at 6:30 p.m. and the concert begins at 7:30. Reserved seating tickets at $36 and $28 are available from PowerNett Productions by calling 432-9058. General seating tickets for $22 are available from Record Connection and The Book Seller in Grass Valley, Miners Foundry in Nevada City and PowerNett Productions in Penn Valley. Call 432-9058 or go online at http://www.minersfoundry.org for more information.

The first Powers and Barnett in Concert, held in Penn Valley last November, was a sellout and enabled the group to donate $1,200 to Hospice of the Foothills.
