‘Peach’ author to be at Miners Foundry

Celebrated author David Mas Masumoto will be headlining a free, fun Author Night for the Nevada County Reads 2006 project on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Nevada City. He will be joined by Grass Valley Taiko.

The focus of the countywide reading effort is Masumoto’s “Epitaph for a Peach: Four Seasons on My Family Farm,” a literary chronicle that movingly describes his family’s efforts to grow and market a delicious, but delicate peach. Masumoto is known as “America’s literary farmer.”

Refreshments will be provided by The Friends of the Nevada County Libraries and no tickets are necessary.
