Paul John Borlik

Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. today for Paul John Borlik of Grass Valley at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Grass Valley. His son, Father Dan Borlik will officiate the services and follow with a service mass at 11 a.m.

Mr. Borlik died Nov. 9 in Grass Valley, California. He was 83.

Mr. Borlik was born Dec. 17, 1922 in Washington, D.C. to Felix J. Borlik and Anna H. “Sniegoski” Borlik.



Mr. Borlik attended high school in Washington, D.C. where he was on the National Honor Society and continued his education at various technical schools. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard as a Merchant Marine from 1943 to 1945 as an Ensign, Radioman.

Mr. Borlik was married on April 22, 1946 in Baltimore to Kathleen Borlik. He worked at AT&T, various radio and television stations in Washington D.C., Texas and California.




His hobbies included: Woodworking, clockmaking, playing mandolin and organ and computers.

Mr. Borlik is survived by his wife, Kathleen Borlik of Grass Valley, daughter Theresa Borlik of Grass Valley, daughter and son-in-law Mary Patricia and Marcus Burreal of Sacramento, son Dan Paul Borlik of Dallas, Texas, son and daughter-in-law Rick and Kathy Borlik of Lake Wildwood, daughter Kathy Farris of Maine and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper & Weaver.
