Pat Lason

Memorial services for Pat Lason of Grass Valley will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Christian Encounter Ministries, 17183 Retrac Way in Grass Valley.

Mrs. Lason died Sunday, July 18, in a car accident. She was 78.

She was born Dec. 31, 1925, in Portland, Ore. She grew up in Southern California living in Long Beach. She graduated from Poly High in 1943, and worked briefly at Douglas Aircraft during the war. She married Bill Brannan in 1945, and in 1960 she married George Lason. They moved to Grass Valley in the early 1970s. She enjoyed participating in local activities.



She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Frank Hartog of Brookside, Utah; son, Larry Lason of Grass Valley; sister, Virginia Cordner of Laguna Niguel; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Stephanie and Major David Shively of Monterey; great-grandchildren, Alice and Frank Shively of Monterey; and nephew, Mark Shook of Warner Springs. She was preceded in death by her brother, Miles, in October 2002; and grandson, Tyler Preston Lason, in April 2004.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
