‘Pasta with a Purpose’ benefits Nevada County man fighting cancer

“Pasta with a Purpose,” a dinner benefit for Trevor Hill, who is battling Stage 3 colon cancer, is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. on Feb. 25 at Charlie’s Cafe, 145 S. Auburn St. in Grass Valley. Tickets for $10 are now on sale for the event, which includes spaghetti with meat sauce, salad and bread. Beverages and desserts will be for sale separately. Organizers are encouraging community members to purchase tickets in advance by emailing Jessica Mack at Jess7m7@outlook.com or calling 530-391-0719. Tickets are also on sale at Charlie’s Cafe during regular business hours. All proceeds will be donated to the Hill family.
