Party hearty, help Sierra Services for the Blind

Everyone knows what “party hearty” means when Jimmi Accardi & the Wildcats take the stage. Who can resist the authentic sounds of classic rock ‘n’ roll and blues from the 1950s and ’60s? Put that together with food, drink, door prizes and a raffle, and you have the Rotary’s 2nd Annual Party Hearty with Jimmi Accardi & the Wildcats Rock & Roll Party to benefit the blind on Friday, Nov. 10, at Miners Foundry Cultural Center in Nevada City.

At 7 p.m., The Jitterbugs Inc. will provide a warmup and dance lesson. Music starts at 7:30.

Tickets are $5 in advance at Nevada City Postal Company, The Book Seller in Grass Valley or Sierra Services for the Blind in Nevada City, which you can call at 265-2121 for more information. The agency provides medical transportation, counseling and education for more than 400 blind and visually impaired clients in the county.

At the door, tickets are $7; all ages are welcome.
