Over the white line

I hope this reaches those of you who go swimming at the South Fork, on the way to North San Juan, and park in places where your car hangs out well beyond the white line.

My husband drives the route five days a week to work. On the way home, there are cars at least a foot over the white line. It seems to me that that the California Highway Patrol could make a fortune for our county if they would ticket these people.

This is a dangerous road as it is, and trying to fit between an oncoming car and a car parked on the roadway is an accident waiting to happen.

We have loggers hauling loads and those folks parked in the road are mighty lucky they haven’t returned to their car to find a scratch down the side because there was no room on the roadway.

Have some consideration for those of us who drive 49 year-round.
