Drama

“Fully Committed” a one-man-show starring Gary Wright at the Nevada Theatre in Nevada City. “Fully Committetd” is a comic tale about the harried reservation clerk at New York’s hottest four-star restaurant, and the hordes of people who make his job impossible: from the foreign dignitaries, local political personalities, supermodels, little old ladies, Hollywood producers, Mafia figures, et.al. who stop at nothing to book a table, to the restaurant’s high-strung maitre d’ and its egomaniacal chef. Preview performance Thursday, June 10. Performances are Thursdays 7 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays 8 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 2 p.m. through Aug. 15. Special Pay-What-You-Can Benefit Performance Wednesday, June 16 at 7 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Food Bank of Nevada County. Tickets $19-$23. Preview performance $12. Empire Mine public tours take place daily at Empire Mine State Historic Park. Bourn Cottage tours 11 a.m., 1 and 3 p.m., mine yard tours noon, 2 and 4 p.m. Admission to the park is $3 for 17 and older, $1 for children 6-16 years old, children under 6 are free. Guided tours are $1.50 per tour for adults. Park hours are 9 a.m.-6 p.m. 273-8522.

Nevada City Carriage Company Carriage House tours take place at 431 Uren St. in Nevada City, 10 a.m. sharp Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with an addition noon tour on Saturday. Visit an authentic replica of a 19th century gentleman’s stable. Free. 265-8778.
