Our elected officials should be held in contempt

I hear radio ads all the time pointing the finger of blame at the governor for all the state’s problems. It seems to me that his battles are all uphill given he is forced (by the voters of the urban areas) to do battle with a Democratic controlled Legislature – the same bunch who have caused the fiscal mess all along.

For years budget approval has come in long past the deadline. The same cronies keep getting re-elected to do a bad job. If change is ever in need, it is in the Statehouse and its leadership.

I personally think that the elected public servants should be held in contempt, locked up, and denied permanently their pay for every day the budget is overdue.
