For you who have an extra $250 (for individual dinner ticket) and want to save the historic Thunderbird Lodge at Lake Tahoe, you still have a chance. Aug. 17 is the next dinner event; the series ends Oct. 19. Call 1-775-832-8754 or register online at http://www.ThunderbirdLodge.org. Apparently the lodge is ready to collapse from its rocky promontory into the lake.
