Olga MacKinnon

Private family services for Olga MacKinnon of El Cerrito will be conducted at a later date.

Mrs. MacKinnon died Sunday, Dec. 22, in Grass Valley. She was 86.



She was born Oct. 25, 1916, in Rock Springs, Wyo., to Peter and Helen Maslov. She graduated from Richmond High School.

She married John “Hecky” MacKinnon on June 25, 1936, in Sparks, Nev.




She was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, needlework and puzzles.

She is survived by her son, Alex MacKinnon of Nevada City; daughters, Marianne McDaniel of El Cerrito and Jennifer Sutton of Cottage Grove, Ore.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John “Hecky” MacKinnon in 1987.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Neptune Society of Northern California, Grass Valley Branch.
