Old story

In the past when writers have accused The Union of bias in any direction, I have tended to give you the benefit of the doubt, knowing that nobody thinks they get a fair shake. However, the recent barrage of editorials about Bruce Conklin has changed my mind.

I do not know much about the transferring of Dryden Wilson funds to the Land Trust or Conklin’s employment by them, but I do know that these events happened quite some time ago. If they are such burning issues, why has The Union left them mostly untouched for all this time?

I remember that there was some coverage at the time, but nothing like the four editorials [sic] in recent weeks. In fact, I cannot remember any candidate or issue in the last 22 years getting so many editorial column inches. I can only conclude that The Union’s publisher has an agenda which precludes balanced coverage of issues and candidates. At long last I am canceling my subscription, since this paper seems like an unreliable source.
