Objects in the Mirror returns ‘home’

Objects in the Mirror bass player Pat Jacobsen is particularly excited about his band’s gig Friday at Cooper’s.

It has been about a year since the Nevada County band’s first and only time at the Nevada City venue, Jacobsen said.

“We have traveled a fast track around Northern California and are amazed at the response people are giving us. Since our CD came out in May, we have averaged 100 people per gig at smaller venues, and about 30 CDs sell per gig, which is amazing,” Jacobsen said.

“We are even getting air play in the Sacramento area and offers from the Bay and South Bay areas now. So this is all really exciting!”

Sacramento Magazine just hired the group to perform at “The Best of Sacramento” annual event for 6,000-plus audience members on Nov. 11 at the Sacramento Convention Center.

In the meantime, Objects in the Mirror can be seen locally Friday at Cooper’s (235 Commercial St.) at 9:30 p.m. Cover is $5.
