Obituary: VaNita Hassell

VaNita Hassell, 83, of Rocky Ford, Colo., died Wednesday, Jan. 23, in LaJunta, Colo.

Mrs. Hassell was born on July 29, 1918, in Hugo, Colo., to Henry and Zola (Dudley) Kravig. She married Sime Hassell on June 18, 1938, in Grass Valley.



She was a longtime employee of Pacific Bell as a telephone operator and instructor. She was a member of Business and Professional Women and enjoyed bowling.




She is survived by her sisters Kordova Lockwood of Karval, Colo., and Dixie Igou of Rocky Ford, Colo.; and brother, Quentin Kravig of Karval.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sime Hassell.
