Obituary: Thelma Carvin

Thelma Carvin

Thelma G. Carvin, 91, of Grass Valley died Thursday, July 25, in Grass Valley.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no services. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Grass Valley.



Mrs. Carvin was born Nov. 4, 1910, in California to William and Vera Davies. She married Elton “Spec” Carvin on May 22, 1929. She worked more than 40 years at Rasco’s in Grass Valley as a sales clerk. She was a member of Grass Valley United Methodist Church and Native Daughters of the Golden West.

She is survived by her daughter, Joan Key of Grass Valley; son, Keith Carvin of Reno; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1959.




Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
