Obituary: Raymond Kilmade

Services for Raymond Eugene Kilmade of Grass Valley will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Assembly of God Church, 12582 Squirrel Creek Road in Grass Valley. Burial will be at Sierra Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Nevada City.



Mr. Kilmade died Monday, Jan. 21, in Grass Valley. He was 76.




He was born Feb. 15, 1925, in Albany, N.Y., to Daniel Joseph Kilmade and Mary Starr. He married Bernice on May 29, 1950, in North Cannon, Conn. He served in the U.S. Navy for 26 years. He worked for Pacific Bell. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve. He enjoyed reading.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice Kilmade of Grass Valley; sons Danny Kilmade and David Kilmade of San Diego; brother Daniel Kilmade of Albany; sister Rosemary Brophy of Albany; grandchildren Todd, Tracie and Brandon; and great-grandchildren Koll, Eathan and Cailyn.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Assembly of God Church or Hospice of the Foothills.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
