Obituary: Patricia Butt

Memorial services for Patricia Nadine Butt of Grass Valley will be conducted at 1 p.m. today at the Nevada City chapel of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.

Mrs. Butt died Sunday, March 3, in Grass Valley. She was 48.



She was born Oct. 28, 1953, in Connell, Wash. to Chuck and Ruby Rodgers. Mrs. Butt graduated from Pasco High School in Pasco, Wash., and obtained a certified nursing assistant degree at Sierra College in Grass Valley.




She worked as a nursing assistant and home health aide for Empire Home Medical, Inc. in Grass Valley.

Mrs. Butt enjoyed camping, river rafting, fishing, hiking, sightseeing and cooking.

She married Vince Butt on Nov. 13, 1993, in Reno. He survives her.

Other survivors include a son Travis Mikelson of Grass Valley; brothers, Charles Ray Rodgers of Lincoln City, Mont., Ben Rodgers of Billings, Mont., Jesse Rodgers of Pasco, and Delbert Rodgers of Tonopah, Nev.; sister Peggy Williams of Spokane, Wash., brothers-in-law, Vernon Butt of Monter, Kan., Virgil Butt and Verl Butt, both of Denver, Colo.; sisters-in-law, Venitta Blackford of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Verna Kaiser of Hartsfield, Ga., and mother-in-law Maybelle Bowan of Garden City, Kan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Dick Mikelson in 1991; and brother, Clarence Darrell in 2001.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
