Obituary: Ora Squier

Memorial services for Ora “Lee” Doty Squier will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Clair’s Episcopal Church, 3350 Hopyard Blvd. in Pleasanton. A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Penn Valley Cemetery.



Mrs. Squier died Tuesday, March 12. She was 82.




She was born Dec. 14, 1919, in Marysville, Texas. She lived in Texas, Washington and California, including most recently Fremont, Grass Valley and Pleasanton. She was a retired teacher.

She is survived by her children Donna White of Chowchilla and John Squier of Pleasanton; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Don Squier; son James Vernon Squier; brother, Vernon Doty; and sister, Thelma Porter.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1900 Mowry Ave., Fremont 94538; or to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Neptune Society of Northern California.
