Obituary: Marjorie Glasco

Graveside services for Marjorie Elizabeth (Schairer) Glasco of Atlanta, Ga., will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday at the Flovilla City Cemetery in Flovilla City, Ga. Rev. David Sandridge will officiate at the services.

Mrs. Glasco died Friday, March 1. She was 73.



She was born April 12, 1928, in Fulton County, Ga., to August and Marjorie Elizabeth (Thomas) Schairer. She was married to Hugh Thomas Glasco.




During World War II she and her mother were members of a mother-daughter modeling team well known in New York, Washington, D.C. and Atlanta. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Atlanta.

She is survived by her sons, Hugh Glasco of Nevada City and Mark Albert Glasco of Atlanta; daughters, Grace Dian Glasco of Nevada City and Mari Faye Schairer Glasco of Atlanta; and grandchildren, Evan and Haley Glasco of Nevada City. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Hugh Glasco, and grandson Ryan Thomas Glasco.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Haisten Funeral Home in Jackson, Ga.
