Obituary: Loyd McCurry

A celebration of life with a potluck luncheon for Loyd Garrison “Curly” McCurry of Colfax will be conducted from 1 to 3 p.m. on March 17 at the Shady Glenn Mobilhome Park club house, 450 Gladycon Road, in Colfax.

He died Wednesday, Feb. 27, at home. He was 79.

He was born in Dirks, Ark., one of 10 children. He was a former resident of Chicago Park and Grass Valley.

He is survived by his daughters Suszanne Murphy of Shingletown and Suzette Caddy of San Luis Obispo; sisters La Wanda Hemphill of Sparks, Nev., Juanita Bacchetti of Klamath Falls, Ore., Edwina Anderson of Reno, and Marilyn Smith of Pleasant Hill; brother, Patrick McCurry of Highlands; and two grandsons.
